Choose your settings, then press Start. The timer begins with your first keystroke.
What each difficulty contains
- Basic: single digits and short groups of two or three, including repeated digits and simple runs such as 345.
- Medium: groups of four to six digits with mirrored and repeating patterns mixed with random sequences.
- Advanced: long groups of seven to ten digits with few repeats, closer to account or reference numbers.
Sequences are generated in your browser for every attempt, so no two tests are quite the same.
Tips for faster digit entry
- On a numeric keypad, rest your right index, middle and ring fingers on 4, 5 and 6. The 5 key usually has a small bump.
- On the number row, reach up from the home row and return after each digit.
- Read a whole group before typing it, then type it in one smooth burst.
- Accuracy matters more with numbers than with words: a single wrong digit changes the value.
